He couldn’t decide. Neither could I

Picture this.

A man and his family on a mountain top on a quiet day with stunning views. His wife wandering to the left side of the ridge, his two beloved children running to the right to watch birds in the air. The man, lost in contemplation, taking it all in.

Then the earth starts to shake.

In front of his eyes, the mountain begins to slide. His wife to the left. His children to the right. He freezes. Should he run to his wife or to his children? He cannot reach both in time.

But how could he possibly choose?

He watches his family slide down, unable to move a muscle, until he follows them into the abyss. He couldn't live with himself after losing them.

This is a past life that revealed itself to me when I was working on my own struggle to make choices. My mind had no knowledge of these circumstances, but the feeling was oh so familiar. No wonder every choice felt like a matter life or death.

When there is a strong emotion or a recurring theme in your life, often the root is in a past lifetime. The events of your current life are an echo of something that hasn't been fully resolved before.

In my experience, sometimes healing the trauma of this lifetime is not enough to end the struggle once and for all.
