Stories That Lived in My Grandmother’s Hands
Growing up in Soviet Azerbaijan, I experienced and witnessed a lot of struggle.
My grandmother, who raised me, worked from home as a seamstress and prided herself on her financial independence from my grandfather. She also cooked for 10–15 people every day and kept our house impeccably clean, while tending to me, her other children, the garden, hens, and a dog.
No wonder her hands were calloused. There was no time to be soft in her world, no space for dreams—only survival.
Add to that the Soviet glorification of the “hard-working proletariat,” and the message was clear:
Work hard. Sacrifice. Don’t expect life to be easy.
Those stories didn’t stay with my grandmother in the past.
They shaped me psychologically—but they were also coded into my DNA.
This isn’t just a theory. Science now suggests that our DNA carries information from up to seven generations of ancestors.
Just think about how many famines, illnesses, and wars your lineage has endured. Now consider how much stored pain you might be carrying without even realising it.
So it’s no surprise that many of us carry the belief:
“I have to work hard in order to make money.”
There’s nothing wrong with working hard.
But when it becomes the only way you know… when rest feels unsafe… when success only comes through exhaustion…
It might be time to pause and ask: Where is this coming from? And do I still want to carry it?
This is the work we’ll be doing in Unlock Unlimited Love & Money—my 5-week live course.
It’s about healing your money story from the inside out—not with surface-level affirmations, but by releasing old family patterns, ancestral imprints, and unconscious beliefs from your cells and your DNA.
When these begin to shift, life opens in ways that feel more spacious, more nourishing, and less like a constant push.
