What's the top card?
I'm currently completing a certification in Compassion Key for Health. One of the requirements of this programme is working through the Anatomy of Miracle framework, developed by my teacher, Edward Mannix.
This framework allows you to go far deeper into what's actually behind a problem, beyond symptoms, diagnoses, or surface-level fixes.
The framework itself is very familiar to me. I've been working with it for many years. But choosing what to work on? That's where I found myself in analysis paralysis.
I wanted to get it "right."
What would have the most impact? I wondered.
Eyes. I'll work on my eyesight.
I began filling in the form and very quickly realised that behind my declining eyesight was a deeply ingrained need to hide. You know how children close their eyes thinking they've become invisible? It felt a bit like that.
I changed my mind and decided to focus on my dental challenges. I've had so much dental trauma in this lifetime, it's genuinely harrowing.
But once again, as soon as I started filling in the document, the pattern revealed itself. My dental problems had created the perfect conditions to hide and to keep my mouth shut, quite literally.
So… I changed my mind again.
This time, I focused on my current intention of releasing excess weight and keeping it off. And there were no surprises here either. I've long been aware that carrying extra weight has also helped me to hide.
Different symptoms. Different entry points. Same root.
Do you ever overthink what to work on?
In my experience, most of the time, whatever you choose will lead you back to the same deeper truth.
So don't overthink it. Go with the top card. It's not the issue you pick that matters, it's what's behind it.
P.S. If you're ready to learn to uncover what's really behind the issues, you’ll love my Practitioner Training. Whatever the issue you or your clients may be facing, you’ll be able to heal it at its root.
