Are You Repelling the Clients You Want to Attract?

When I started my business, I did everything the conventional marketing taught me: posted, showed up and took action day after day.

Consciously, I was doing all the right things. And yet the results stayed thin. Why?

Because underneath all that doing, my energy wasn't attracting people I wanted to reach.

Let me illustrate it.

At the time, I was writing a book about my childhood in Azerbaijan. I wanted it to succeed but I didn't want any of my compatriots to read it.

In my culture, you don't speak ill of your family or your country. Telling the truth could have been read as an act of treachery.

While I was building an audience for my book, so much of my energy was going into what I didn't want, instead of what I wanted to manifest.

Perhaps you recognise this in yourself. If some part of you believes that being seen comes at a cost, that you'll be judged, punished, criticised or envied for it, your energy may be doing exactly what mine was: working hard, and pointing the wrong way.
