What I Didn't Know Standing At That Airport
This Friday marks exactly 21 years since I landed in the UK from Azerbaijan. I still remember standing at the airport with a giant suitcase, full of dreams and fears.
I was a British Council Chevening Scholar and was on my way to the University of Birmingham to do my degree in law.
While studying in the UK was a big dream, my move away from my homeland was an escape. I was so tired of hiding who I was that I needed to get away somewhere where no one knew me (if you have read my memoir Fragile Freedom, you would understand).
Ah, the freedom, I thought.
Much to my disappointment, despite the new environment, the hiding didn't stop.
Not until I embarked on my healing journey.
Now two decades later, I'm finally getting closer to the version of freedom I imagined when I moved to the UK.
This Friday, 11 September, I'm opening the doors to something brand new. I've been sitting with this one for a while, and I can't wait to share it with you on Friday. For now, I just wanted you to know it's coming.
Warmest wishes,
Gulara
P.S. I've got so much to be grateful for these days, including support from so many individuals who share my work. I'm offering my third Gratitude Circle this Thursday 10 September. We'll be healing disappointment, so that you can open your heart to even more gratitude.
Here's how you can join the circle:
Please share my free resource three times (think bigger than three individuals - share it in a group, tag your friends, or post it in your stories).
Here's the link to the free 22 min guided healing: https://welcome.gularavincent.co.uk/safe-to-be-magnetic
Send me screenshots to gularavincent@gmail.com, or tag me, so that I can add you to the list.
